The “Agyakwa” family, a USA based Ghanaian family has presented assorted food and nonfood items to the “Eye of the Lord” Orphanage Home at Nsawam in the Eastern Region.
The items include bags of rice, soft drinks and biscuits, variety of soaps, boxes of mineral
water, confectioneries, used clothing and an undisclosed amount of money.
Speaking on behalf of the family during the presentation, Mrs Helina Agyakwa, wife of Mr
Benjamin Agyakwa said, the family has adopted the orphanage over the years and had since
not missed a year without the family paying visit to show love and compassion to the children
whenever they are in Ghana.
She further stated that, giving back to society has always been the passion of the family as a
way of assisting the deprived and underprivileged in the society.
Mr Samuel Kwapong Darko, Director of the orphanage, receiving the items expressed his
profound gratitude to the “Agyakwa” Family and friends from the USA for the kind gesture
and appealed to other philanthropic individuals in the diaspora to emulate their good
example.
He said the children would forever be grateful to the “Agyakwa family for always being there
for them whenever the need arises, saying they “pray that God Almighty keep them in good
health and wealth, open the gates of heaven for more blessings”.
Accompanying the “Agyakwa” family was the CEO of Philfree Media Network, Mr Freeman
Kofi Owusu, the brother of Mrs Helina Agyakwa, who by his kind courtesy, Philfree Media

Before departure, the “Agyakwa” family took a group photograph with the children and the
